Ashley Taylor
Graduate Intern
Hi, I’m Ashley!
Our lives are often like unpredictable stories with highs and lows. It can be helpful to equip ourselves with healthy coping skills and mindsets to help us overcome obstacles that come up along our journeys, while becoming stronger along the way.
Although we don’t have complete control over everything that happens to us, we can control how we react. As a therapist, I believe in the power of challenging negative thoughts and beliefs about ourselves or any situation we are in in order to view things from a different perspective. That will help empower us to make positive changes to overcome and live our best lives.
I am passionate about humanity and relationships and am dedicated to helping improve every client’s life in whatever areas they need using a variety of different therapeutic approaches, such as CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, and more.
I studied creative writing and psychology at Truman State University as an undergraduate, and I am currently working towards a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy. I have experience working with couples, families, and individuals of many ages, through a wide variety of problems. I would love to work with you!
