Liz Konzelmann
Graduate Intern
Hi, I’m Liz!
Life is full of struggles. We all encounter challenges and difficulties that can be unpredictable, unavoidable, and overwhelming. However, individuals can learn to navigate these experiences in a healthier way. I believe that every person has the power to make positive changes in their lives, and I am passionate about supporting individuals on their journey to emotional well-being.
As a counselor, my goal is to help my clients recognize their own strength, embrace their worth, and commit to living in alignment with their values, regardless of the obstacles they face. This process involves learning to focus on the present, staying true to one's values, and committing to actions that lead to a meaningful life.
I understand that it can be hard to trust and open up to a counselor. My desire is to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their goals for growth and healing. I want to walk alongside you as you determine what is best for your life.
I bring a wealth of life experience that fosters compassion and deep connections with others. I am a wife and a mother of two grown children, one of whom has special needs. Before having children, I worked in medical sales. For the past 15 years, I have homeschooled my children. My background in biology allows me to integrate a scientific understanding of human behavior with a person-centered approach to therapy.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Truman State University and am currently pursuing my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Missouri Baptist University.
In my free time, I enjoy singing and participating in community musical theater. I also love spending time outdoors and in nature, especially with my family.
